Lost Worlds Brewing Announces Community Partnership with Charlotte Trail of History

Charlotte, NC, May 30, 2024 – Lost Worlds Brewing is thrilled to announce a new community partnership with the Charlotte Trail of History. Lost Worlds Brewing’s new location along the Little Sugar Creek Greenway, is perfectly positioned to bring awareness to 10 statues representing key people who contributed to the history, growth and development of Mecklenburg County. This collaboration will celebrate the rich historical tapestry of Charlotte by also supporting initiatives such as the newly relaunched Charlotte Liberty Walk.

"Lost Worlds Brewing is proud to partner with the Charlotte Trail of History and open our taproom to spur conversation about our community’s cultural and historical landscape,” says Dave Hamme, founder of Lost Worlds. “This blends our passion for brewing with a dedication to community engagement and historical preservation."

"On a day when we are unveiling our statue of legendary Charlotte jazz musician, Loonis McGlohon, we are delighted to join forces with Lost Worlds Brewing to bring history to life in a place where people enjoy the greenway and spending time,” says Kendall Kendrick, Executive Director of the Charlotte Trail of History. “Shining a spotlight on this, along with the Charlotte Liberty Walk, are testaments to our shared commitment to preserving and celebrating the vibrant history of our city."

The Charlotte Liberty Walk is a recently rereleased initiative that guides residents and visitors through significant historical sites in Uptown Charlotte, highlighting the city’s journey to liberty and freedom. The new Loonis McGlohon statue along the Greenway is a key addition to this walk, offering a tangible connection to Charlotte’s past.
