Beer School 101 Sign-ups are Live

Since Lost Worlds first opened its doors in 2020, the brewery’s focus on brewing top caliber beers

earned praise from national channels and resulted in the brewery receiving 11 major medals. The man

behind the beers is David “DG” Gonzalez – a 26 year industry veteran whose prior employers include

Foothills Brewing, NoDa Brewing, and Rock Bottom Brewery when it was the only craft brewery in

Charlotte. In Beer School 101, DG will instruct attendees on the brewing process, brewing ingredients, and his

unique insights on what makes a great beer. Attendees will be led through a guided tasting and be giving

a tour of the brewing facilities. Course Length: approximately 1.5 hours. Price is

$35 per attendee. You must be 21 or older to participate

The Lost Worlds Beer School experience was insightful, informative and paced perfectly. I enjoyed learning about the process and the thoughts behind the names of the beers sampled! The samples were the highlight … best craft beer around!

What to expect

  • Beer School begins in our event space at a lantern-lit table with other beer enthusiasts. DG presents an interactive session starting with the history of craft beer and working through all you need to know about the brewing process and various styles - inclulding fun facts along the way.

  • You’ll be guided through tastings, including four styles of beer, delivered throughout the presentation.

  • Lastly, you can order a beer of your choice before heading out on a Brew House tour to get a behind the scenes look at how we brew our award-winning beer at Lost Worlds.

As a lifelong learner, I’m always eager to experience unique educational offerings but when those offerings involve great beer, I’m first in line. The beer school at Lost Worlds did not disappoint. DG’s knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience worth the time and money. He was thorough but concise and answered any questions as we went. On top of the unrivaled instruction, the perfectly orchestrated beer tasting and the brewery tour made me feel like a VIP.
