The Story

In antiquity, Lahaina was the royal capital of Maui Loa on the island of Maui. In 1795, the town was conquered by Kamehameha the Great and became the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii from 1820-1845 before the capital was moved back to Honolulu. The town is known for Front Street – a popular tourist destination that is today lined with stores and restaurants. At the southern end of Front Street resides the largest Banyan Tree in the United States – planted in 1873 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the arrival of Christian missionaries. Scenic locations across Lahaina have been featured in dozens of movies including Papillon, Jurassic Park, The Hulk, and Pirates of the Caribbean. It is also mentioned in the song “The Last Resort” by the Eagles.

The Discovery
Lost Worlds Lahaina Double IPA hits your palate with tropical notes and packs a wallop at 9% ABV. We utilize Azacca, Calypso, El Dorado, Sultana, and Trident hops to make sure you don’t forget you are on island time. In addition, Lahaina uses a Kviek yeast strain that accentuates the tropical notes of the brew. Your cares will float away with this brew!
