Meet Adventure Guide, Alyssa!

It was the game of Lacrosse that brought Alyssa to Charlotte, and it was Lost Worlds’ gain when she decided to stay.  Born and raised in New York, her love of Lacrosse led to her to become a collegiate athlete at D2 ranked Catawba College in Salisbury.

“I have been working in the service industry since I was 18 (10 years) and when the pandemic hit I felt that was my time to start looking for a job within my major,” says Alyssa.

She works full time for a company that provides ventilators for patients. "A few months into my career I missed the interactions I used to have with customers in person and decided I would bartend part-time for fun!”

 What do you like about being an Adventure Guide?

 I love being able to build relationships with our guests and that all different walks of life come through our doors every day! It's amazing how one beer, a few minutes of listening to someone vent, or even a quick compliment could make a guest's day. There’s nothing more satisfying than serving a beer that causes a guest to grin from ear to ear.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I like to try new restaurants, brewery hop and spend time with my dog, Riggins, and boyfriend, Kevin.

What's the best adventure you've been on?

The best adventure I have been on was going to Ireland in July. My boyfriend is from Ireland so it was cool to get a tour from a local. I am hoping in 2023 to go back and continue to explore different places in Ireland.

What's your favorite style of beer?

My favorite style of beer is a toss-up between Sours and Hefeweizen -- Morley’s is my favorite!
